Privacy policy
OldDocs (olddocs.co.uk) is operated by Neil Egginton. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.
What we collect and why
When you register and purchase access, we collect your name, email address, and password. This information is held in our membership system and is used solely to create and manage your account and provide you with access to the content you have purchased. The legal basis for processing this data is the performance of a contract — you cannot access what you have purchased without an account.
We do not collect any information about you if you are just browsing the site without registering.
Payment processing
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you complete a purchase, you are directed to Stripe's secure payment pages. OldDocs never receives or stores your card details — Stripe handles all payment data directly. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to information you provide during checkout.
Analytics
This site uses Lightweight Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not track individual visitors, and does not collect any personally identifiable information. No data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Cookies
If you register and log in, a session cookie is set to keep you logged in during your visit. This cookie is essential to the functioning of your account and contains no personal information beyond a session identifier. It is deleted when you log out or close your browser.
No other cookies are set by this site.
Data retention
Your account details are held for as long as your account remains active. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, please contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected if inaccurate, have it deleted, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
If you have a concern about how your data is handled, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
